my ea is throwing the power steering belt everytime i accelerate too much or hang it round a corner it throws the belt and i cant work out why its the right tension, its the right belt, the tensioner is round the right way but it still comes off any ideas?

it's a 5 speed. good old clutch kick. check to make sure your harmonic balancer isn't wobbling really badly. that means it's buggered. the harmonic balancer, if you didn't know, is the big pulley all three belts run on. start the car and look at it while it's at idle. if wobbling it's shagged. FIX IT ASAP! a shagged balancer will cause premature engine wear. especially if you are revving it hard to "hang it out around corners"

hahaha well my ea does and it does it well :) umm i just checkd the balancer nothing abnormal i think the bumb a*** at super cheap gave me the wrong belt maybe.. i was in a hurry nd culdnt be stuffed sussin one myself

my ea has a 4lt bottom with a 3.9 head so its quick i beat v8s man

try doing serpintine conversion....they work...wont fall off then.

must be fun hooking into a corner and losing power steering....ye olde armstrong

dunno how much it costs...i have a au so already got one.... search the threads there should be one on a conversion....or go to your local wreackers and raid an ef el or au

might just go wiv glimer belt kit nd get the belt to go strigth from the balancer to the steering pump

:lol: :lol: you wont get a supercharge noise from a serpentine belt set up unless the powersteer pump is buggered...

anyway check the end play on you ea powersteer pump, and check the tensioner pulley for movement aswell..
