I know just doing the air intake mods made a big differance to the way my car pulls and the readings on the dyno improved from 90kw ATW to 112, and then add in the change to manual, ontop the extractors and it's nowhere near as slugish as it was stock when i bought it. It was tuned on the dyno for it's LPGI ecu.

So the dyno said it gained 22kw at the wheels with just the intake mods or is that including the aftermentioned extractors and manual conversion?

It didn't have the manual conversion back then, or extractors, but it did have a 2.5" all the way from cat back. Which i didn't know at the time of the dyno tune. Found out later when i was under the car & measured the pipe. So it wasn't quite stock, but close enough. Had all 3 mufflers in 2.5" pipe size. Now i've got a commy cat fit, and only the main muffler. Not a bad note now, for a NA 6!

Yep the dyno said it gained that atw, but as i've said before, i dunno how correct that is. What it does show tho, is there was a decent gain with the mods that were done Vs stock power. From what other's have posted from doing similar mods, it looks to be in the same ball park, so it can't be too far off, or there is an extremely large number of dyno's out there that are very wrong.

The next time it goes onto a dyno, it will be at a different place, and i'll get a print out to see what it has according to that dyno.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

The pics in your profile still show the factory airbox to tb ducting, which is fairly restrictive isn't it? Have you changed it since the pic or since the last dyno run?

Cheers

got 122.7 rwkw today, 97 EL manual with 162.xxx kms' on the clock, unopened engine (as far as i can tell anyway)...
pacemaker 4480's
2.5" redback from the middle join back -> (but with both mufflers, so it sounds pretty much stock)

will see what it runs with the new cam (rpsec3) & intake mods in a few weeks.

That's a nice figure for the mods mate. Well done.

Just out of pure interest, which workshop did you have that dyno'd on?
