lol get your flame shield on...
expect a lot of why would you want to, and au is ugly comments.... and even though i could make some cash selling you my dash i still wouldnt do it.... im a fan of the E Series Dash

dont get me wrong (excluding the FG) the AU is the best quality dash ford have built but its still ugly :P

this could help...
the AU door trims are thinner near the dash than the EL so that could sort out the slight width problem...

2002 Ford Falcon Forte AU III
Width (mm) 1870

1998 Ford Falcon XR6 EL
Width (mm) 1861

Agreed completly, AU dashes suck balls, thats why people are swapping them out with BA's.

If you really want to upgrade the dash, go with the crowd and go ba. Haha, showing him what he could be enjoying fourl6, lol

macxr8 has done the cluster conversion and it looks pretty good i reckon - AUII XR cluster into an EL.

Not to sure if hes considering changing the whole dash over to AU as well but you could always ask him, lol his EL is basically an AU now

Hes got a thread going at the moment if you wanna check it out

i think the point is that mines pretty cheap... (AU Forte) that why hes considering it...
AU Fairlane is the same as AU Fairmont... id just recommend checking the gap between the windscreen and the dash... make sure that would fit right...

I think we all know its not going to fit, not by a longshot without major work. But if he really wants to do it IMO I would go for the better looking dash. I am also aware the Fairlane/Fairmont dash is the same.

yeah i don't get a happy reaction when Laura catches me pulling s**t out of her interior... lol

the BA Dash was a straight swap into the AU to fitting a AU dash into a EL should work...

this is the BA into EL/EF Thread...

If people can do BA dashs, then AU would be much the same.
the more of the interior you change, the easier it would be.
