hi guys, my drivers window reg is stuffed, windows stuck all the way down...
were trying to take the reg off so the window can just slide up and down, and hold it up with wood/tape till i can get a new reg. the rivets holding the regulator have been drilled out, and were trying to find out how to disconnect the cable so the window moves freely? any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

the cable broken? if so wind it up t the switch to release the pressure on the cable, sometims they can be a bit ammed and just need a bt of force.
If that doesn't work try undoing the bolts holding the runnner on the door may make thing s a it easier tofree up. If it's not the cable but the gears in the reg trying pushing it up as someone runs the switch. If the motors just dead(jammed sorta), f**k wire cutters maybe.

There are two 10mm bolts that hold the window to the reg. You may be able to undo them with the window all the way down.

all good, ended up ripping the motor out and unbolting the window, and held it up with a couple bits of wood until i get a new one.
