or is it just for wank factor??

It's really hard to explain.
I could say it's the prestige, I could say it's sporty, but for me it's really one simple thing.
It's f**k hilarious watching people try to start and move your car for you

Funnier still when it's a Ford salesman.

Would this be the same ford salesman that flogged the a*** out of your FPV before he sold it to you.

Gonna struggle to flog it if he can't start it.

There's that. And there's the fact I test drove a Toxic green GT*, and own a Ego GT-P.

* and flogged the a*** outta it, sideway through an intersection, dragging a XR6T from a set of lights. I test drive thoroughly.

If you're buying officially, a dealer will need to see the broken button, and take it back. Plus side is it'll be a freebie (if under warranty).

Otherwise check wreckers/ebay. Or better yet don't do it.

Did you ever think they may like the look of it

Good write up mattathm, if someone criticise's and knows better then why not post up the correct way to install it in stead of waste everyone's time in saying it won't work correctly.
doesn't matter if anyone has access to the instructions they still need to purchase the kit.

I to had purchased mine off ebay well over 12mths ago, think genuine Ford but have lost the instructions. I think I may have purchased it from Fern Tree Gully Wrecking along with numerous other stuff???

I will be fitting the Starter Buttom shortly as I have the car off the road awaiting parts for my new engine build so might as well fit it now.

Ive just finished wiring up the other part of the loom that I didnt connect at the start of this post, the Yellow relay wires.

Ill make up diagrams and post up here by ammending my original post if I can.
This way it will all be factory!!!!

To keep you idiots happy that have passengers leaning over and pushing the button whilst the engine is running.

If any passenger leaned over and pushed my button, id give em a smack in the chops.

Do you still have pictures of the install of the yellow wire? Also where did you ground the earth?

Anyone know if this doc is still relevant? It was made in 2007, has anything changed since then that would prevent this from working?
This might be a cool mod for wank factor / sport feels
