got a ed xr6 couple of months ago and need some help regarding the interior
i was wondering whether i would be able to fit front/rear seats out of an ef ghia in it along with the insides of the doors? any help much appreciated |

I wont be the only person to tell you this but there are a s**t load of threads about this look in the interior modifications bit,
Yes the door trims will fit, Yes the back seat will fit, But the front seat rails are different but can be made to fit by putting your ED rails on the seats you want. Not 100% as i havnt done it, its jsut off the top of my head, Im sure someone else will back me up or correct me, either way. Just wondering have you done or plan to do any other mods? any reason why the XR6 stuff isnt good enough for you? Regards, Michael.

the base of the seat doesnt connect to the car and it doesnt look all that classy(standard xr stuff) but i spose for a first car its not bad.i was considering the ghia stuff in it for more class or re trim the original xr stuff.
the xr has pacemaker extractors,full exhaust system(unsure on size last owner did it) full stereo,18inch rims,possibly aftermarket suspension(once again last owner couldnt tell me). Is a stock 5 speed manual though which was a plus.only thing i did to it was new head unit and new tyres since i bought it,rest of it i didnt pay for.not bad for 3 grand ay? |

EF seats will fit with mod, the easiest way i have found is to remove the rear inside rail bracket of your original seats or donor' fix to EF rail with high tensile bolts and weld, bolt down both rear brackets then front inside bracket the front outside bracket wont line up so drill a hole through the floor and secure it with a high tensile bolt and nut. Pretty easy to do and took me about 1hr to do although i used EL Fairlane Ghia seats its much the same process

Good chance its 2.5" system which is perfect. Yer go for re trim there are some nice leather look a like re trims going on ebay they look nice too, check this thread viewtopic.php?f=14&t=74694 Hope this helps, Regards, Michael.

its just shaming the ford badge with it not looking it's best is all.
reason i dont do burnouts on the road(which it can do very easily) is due to i cant afford to replace the tyres for the 18s and havent had a chance to get some burnout rims/tyres yet.... |

Don't get rid of the XR seats mate.... They are an important part of the car as far as originality of the XR goes.
If you must stuff around with it, just get the side bolsters re trimmed in leather, like the XR sprints had. That'd be my suggestion anyway.... to put in Ghia seats would be a crying shame IMO!!!

the seats look like theyve seen better days though but havent decided on anything yet.
