$88 an hour is about twice what the guys in my town are on, which might explain why the porting is cheaper here. I'm not saying that the quality would be up to your standards or anything though, thats just what theyre on per hour, so they could spend twice as long as you or others could on the head for the same $$.

WTF ARE YOU ON DR HOMO?!?!
f**k me C*** read what I fukin typed up.

190rwkw = turbo. You wont achieve it N/A. Simple as that.

without going through the last 5 pages, will the car be daily driven, or just a weekend pig with an idle resembling 10rpms a minute

because you mentioned NOS, then your 190rwkw should be easy with a mild 150-160rwkw combo?

The best way to get more power is shorten the stroke so the engine can rev higher.
Which would allow the bigger cams to pull better.
Hear so many stories on here that the revs hits the limiter but engine is still pulling.

But will loose torque in the process if you are after big power.

fordfairmont, yeah the car will be a daily but i dont mind a big cam as long as its not like a high stall that revs its tits off just so it moves

237rwhp is the best i've seen or rode shotgun in (EA).

Need a huge cam eith revs. RPD Spec 4, still rising after 5700rpm. Big lump at idle and would only work with a manual.

Maybe a 200 crank and 8000rpm...

just a suggestion,
while your on your p's why not start setting your motor up for boost, ie suitable cam heads etc, will probably have you sitting around the 150rwkw mark and will still be driveable.
then when your off your p's bolt on a turbo or raptor kit.

As is said many times, opinions are like a***hole, everyone has one.

Nothing to do with engines is "yes or no" (within reason of c o a r s e); everything is to do with trade offs.

To those who say 190rwkw is unachievable, your f**k kidding; the reason it isn't done is because reliability and cost for most makes it not viable: you end up with an engine that would be a pig to drive on the street, very expensive and then leaving you questioning whether after spending all that money if you take it to the track do you really want to be revving it to the levels which are required to match the setup? (ie read into it more, if you don't rev it to these levels you will be getting beaten by cars with 'less power' being driven within the rev range they are designed to). In other words, if you are specifically after 190rwkw for the amount spent there are better options (ie any f/i whether chemical or physical).

That's a very expansive question. I'm sure any aftermarket head will outflow the tickford one (it will probably perform better too).

But in saying this don't just assume because a head has more flow it will be a better choice.

does anyone ever get stock cranks and rods balanced? or flywheels lightened? i had it done on my VW engine and it made a huge difference in the behavior of the engine at high rpms. is there any counter balanced 4L cranks available? if its gotta revv, this is where i would be looking after a decent head and valvetrain. my 2 cents
