Hi All.
Item up for grabs today. EF-EL Ghia Chrome Handbrake Button. Price: $15 + Postage. Pick Up OK  The shaft has some chrome missing off it, but this is not visible when the knob is in place. Cheers BenJ

Hey Benj, interested in the hand brake knob, how do you fit it?

The handbrake knob just unscrews. There is a spring behind it, so don't loose it, then just screw in the replacement. It is quite tight, so use a bit of cloth and some multigrips, or a large adjustable spanner with clean jaws will also work if you are careful, and you won't mark the chrome.

Are the handles the metal ones? or chromed plastic?

They are the real deal chromed metal handles, as found on EF-EL Fairmont/Fairlane Ghia vehicles.
Quite heavy too, the buggers. Quite surprising the first time you pick them up after holding the base plastic ones. Cheers BenJ

Cheers BenJ funny that, I had a similar preminition, I woke up and felt I would need to get fuel, bloody fuel guage confirmed that needed doing

hey ben j ive got a chrome handbrake button that a mate got form a wreckers but its still got a piece of steel sticking out the back of it?? any idea how i can remove this?
